Hexagonal iron wire netting, or commonly known as chicken wire netting, is a mesh of wire used to fence poultry livestock, such as chickens. However, today it is most commonly used in as roofing insulation support. it can also be used as a medium to hold cement of plaster, in a process known as stuccoing.
It is made of thin, flexible galvanized steel wire, with hexagonal gaps. Available in 1/2″, 1″, 1 1/2″ & 2″ mesh sizes, it comes in a roll form with a width of 2″, 3″, 4″ or 6″ and length which can span up to 72cm.
